Kinemotive Corporation

Working collaboratively with customers, we produce engineered dynamic components to solve complex technical problems. These challenges can include dimensional constraints, functional characteristics, environmental hazards, and traditional or exotic materials including Inconel(600, 625, 700, 718), Hastelloy®, Beta C, titanium, stainless steel(304L, 316L, 347, AM350), Haynes® 242, etc.

Core Competencies

By design, KC works in a small world, producing precision parts and assemblies.

  • Precision TIG, Pulse TIG, Plasma and Laser welding of foils as thin as .0014

  • Accurate form grinding/lapping

  • State-of-the-art vacuum heat treating and brazing

Design

Whether you need a rapid design and prototype, or full production runs of small, precise products and assemblies, we have established a proven method/sequence that virtually eliminates false starts, saves money and speeds up the entire process.

Comprehensive end-to-end design services include 3-D modeling and computerized stress analysis.

Quick Development

Using DTC (Design To Cost) and DFM (Design For Manufacturing), we determine the best method for production. We offer in-house development capabilities to test concepts. Whether welding, grinding, assembling or testing, we work to the precise tolerances specified.

From concept to completion to qualified hardware, Kinemotive collaborates with our customer’s engineers at the most preliminary and conceptual level.  DTC is incorporated at program initiation.

Materials

Design and development work entails the selection of optimum materials. We have many years of intensive experience with both traditional and exotic materials including Inconel(600, 625, 700, 718), Hastelloy®, Beta C, titanium, stainless steel(304L, 316L, 347, AM350), Haynes® 242, etc.

Manufacturing

To permit many unique combinations of materials to be used in our designs, our on site equipment includes:

  • 3 fully-automated, vacuum heat treat furnaces

  • 2 drying ovens

  • 1 Sub-Zero® cold box

Fully automated cleaning equipment includes:

  • 1 Tenny Environmental Chamber

  • 3 Flexicool units for environmental testing to check bellows response to temperature changes

  • 2 Helium Mass Spectrometer leak detectors, accurate to 1 x 10^10 std.cc he/sec

  • Additional test equipment to check spring, stroke, effective area and life testing

Functional / Environmental / Testing

Kinemotive offers in-house calibration and life-cycle test capabilities using:

  • hydraulic flow stand

  • automated wind tunnel

  • automated pressure proofing

Our temperature chamber is capable of a range from cryogenic to 1,300°F.  As required, we can offer size measurement to 1 micro-inch, mass-spectrometer leak testing to 10-10 (autonomated) frequency response, etc.  To test small assemblies automatically, we can partially fill with a variety of media, including silicone oil, helium, safe freons and other fluids.
